The man, caught on surveillance video and described as between the ages 18 and 30, with blonde hair and blue eyes, “made a threat of violence if he did not receive the medications,” according to the report on the Jan. 18 incident, which took place shortly after 9:30 p.m., at 704 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.

The suspect was described as wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with red- and-white lettering “WKU” on the front, for Western Kentucky University. He also was reported wearing an orange baseball cap, black jeans and white tennis shoes.

The sheriff's office reportedly received an anonymous tip Jan. 19, at around 1:05 a.m. That tip led deputies to Robinson.

"Thanks to the news media, the caller had seen the photo in the media, recognized Robinson and called law enforcement," said sheriff's spokesperson Debbie Carter in a news release. "Deputies responded to an address where Robinson was staying and he was taken into custody without incident."

Robinson reportedly admitted to attempted robbery, according to the sheriff's office's report.

A day earlier, the incident report noted that no weapon “was seen or implied” and that the suspect fled the store “while the pharmacist was attempting to retrieve the pills."
