Two Brandon Residents Die In Texas After Car Hits Them: Report

WILLS POINT, TX — A 55-year-old woman and 52-year-old man from Brandon were killed on Sunday in Wills Point, Texas, after a car hit them on Highway 80 near Highway 64, KETK reported.

Rhonda Kulp and Mark Nevala were walking across the highway from a gas station when a truck struck them, according to the TV news station.

A preliminary report said the driver tried to avoid the couple but could not get out of the way. The driver stopped at a nearby intersection.

Nevala died at a local hospital, the news outlet said.

Kulp was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
