Veterans Day Tribute Set for Memorial Park

The Hillsborough County Veterans Council is set to host the 48th Annual Veterans Day Tribute at the Veterans Memorial Park Museum on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 a.m. The date is significant.

 

The Hillsborough County Veterans Council is holding its 48th Annual Veterans Day Tribute at the Veterans Memorial Park Museum on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 a.m.

That is the set time for Veterans Day remembrances nationwide, set in commemoration of the date and time the Armistice was signed to end World War I.

Participating at the event will be more than 100 Junior ROTC cadets from area schools. To be awarded, the Ed Porterfield Award and the American Patriotic Spirit Alive Award.

Veterans Memorial Park Museum is in the Greater Brandon area, at 3602 North U.S. Highway 301 in Tampa.

The tribute will feature the following:

Master of Ceremonies    Walt Raysick Color Guard    MacDill AFB Honor Guard National Anthem    Petty Office Yarrick Conner, U.S. Navy Keynote Speaker    Col.
