1 Critically Injured In Crash With Truck That Ran A Brandon Red Light: Sheriff
A man faces pending charges after officers accused him of speeding his truck, running a red light and then crashing into a car on Kings Ave.

BRANDON, FL — A victim experienced severe injuries when a truck that ran a red light at a Brandon intersection Saturday night crashed into them, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The suspect, 22-year-old Alexander Glaubius, sped a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on South Kings Avenue near a traffic light at 11:57 p.m., according to investigators. The victim, who drove a Volkswagen Passat, made a left turn from Oakfield Drive eastbound to go on South Kings Avenue. As the victim entered the intersection, the suspect is accused of running the red light and smashing into the Volkswagen. The victim was then thrown from the car, police said.
Glaubius kept driving southbound after the crash, and then hit a Mazda, according to investigators.

"As we enter the holiday season, I want to take this time to remind all drivers to never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "It is never okay to put the lives of others at risk in that manner. Please choose to be responsible if you ever find yourself in a situation in which you cannot safely drive yourself or others home. Call a friend or family member, or use one of the many ridesharing apps that are available on your mobile device."
