SEFFNER, FL — A 37-year-old man is facing charges after Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said he drove his car through the glass doors of a gas station convenience store and struck a customer, pinning him against a cooler in the store.

Both the driver and victim were taken to Tampa General Hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

"The footage of the car smashing through this business and straight into a victim is jarring, to say the least," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "It is an absolute miracle that the person pinned by the car did not sustain more serious injuries, and we're glad to hear he will be OK."
