Video Shows Man Demanding Money From Publix Cashier
The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who is seen in a surveillance video at Publix in Apollo Beach demanding money.

APOLLO BEACH, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the assistance of the public to locate a man who is accused of robbing a Publix grocery store on Saturday evening. (Video provided by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is at the bottom of this article.)
According to authorities, at 5:05 p.m. the suspect threatened to shoot a cashier if he did not give him the money he demanded.
A weapon was not seen on the suspect, deputies said.

The cashier gave him an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register, investigators said.
The suspect left the store, 6434 N U.S. Highway 41, and got into an older model gray sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, law enforcement officials said.

The vehicle has heavy damage on the rear bumper, detectives said.
Investigators described the suspect as a white man, six-feet and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, tan baseball hat, blue jeans and a blue face covering.
“The boldness of this suspect is alarming, and we want to find him immediately,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Anyone who would rob a busy grocery store in broad daylight, putting an employee in fear for his life, does not need to be walking our streets freely. We’re asking anyone who recognizes this suspect to help us arrest him by calling the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.”
