Viewfinder: Florida Spearfishing Weigh-In Reels In Rewards for Freeshafters

The 2011 J.J. Taylor / O’Brien’s Florida Freeshafters Open Spearfishing Tournament wound up with a rewards ceremony at O’Brien’s Irish Pub & Grill in Brandon. After the catches were weighed, they were donated to Tampa Bay Harvest, a “food recovery and gleaning organization” that collects leftover, sale-dated and excess food items from local supermarkets, hospitals, schools, restaurants and other food-related businesses to deliver to one of the more than 200 local area charities.
