Wimauma Man Shot Walking Near His Home
The victim, while on a cellphone, was standing near Aley Street and Railroad Street when he felt a pain in his upper chest.

TAMPA, FL - Deputies are investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old Wimauma man. The shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday when the man walked out of his home on Aley Street, deputies said.
The victim, while on a cellphone, was standing near Aley Street and Railroad Street when he felt a pain in his upper chest. He was able to return home where his family called for help, deputies said. A medical helicopter transported the victim to Tampa General Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He was listed in critical condition.
The victim's name and address will be released later this morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
