“At the age of 50, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was shocked. It was then that I started to write in earnest. My children were college-aged and I felt there were things I could still share with them about life," Ore Glass said.

"My happy place had always been the beach and so I wrote stories that used the beach as a backdrop for the inspiration I wanted to offer them," she said. "In the course of a year, between successful treatments, I had written 30 devotions, the basis of my first book, "Reflections by the Sea."
