The Carrollwood Area Business Association will also celebrate the organization's achievements during the past year.

TAMPA, FL – For more than 30 years, the Carrollwood Area Business Association has worked to support Northwest Hillsborough County’s business community and the residents they serve.

Now entering its 32nd year, CABA will introduce the members of their new Board of Directors for 2017-18 during its annual Awards and Installation Dinner on Wednesday, July 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Carrollwood Country Club, 13903 Clubhouse Drive.

The incoming CABA president, Diane Stoddart, will also be recognized and present her agenda for the organization during her term.

“In addition to being the Carrollwood Area Business Association, I am challenging us to become the ‘Community and Business Aligned’ CABA,” Stoddart said.

The evening also recognizes the achievements CABA and its members accomplished throughout the 2016-17 year. Also, Dr. Barry Shaprio, a charter member of CABA, will introduce the organization’s newly inducted Hall of Fame members. The CABA Hall of Fame includes members who served the organization for 10 or more years and have made significant leadership contribution for five or more years serving on the Board of Directors.

“This year’s Hall of Fame enshrines represent members who served CABA between 1996 and 2001,” Shapiro said. “It’s hard to tell the CABA story without mentioning their names.”

Aside from recognizing the following year and the distant past, the CABA Awards and Installation Dinner will also recognize the organization’s achievements of the past year. Immediate Past President Jeff Ryder will present a video commemorating the outgoing 2016-17 board. Ryder’s presentation will include the debut of CABA’s 2017 Taste of Carrollwood video featuring highlights of the record-setting event at Steinbrenner Field.

“I honestly couldn’t be more proud of all that our outgoing board has accomplished over the past year,” Ryder said.

Some of the highlights of the past year Ryder noted were:

  • The CABA Golf Classic that raised more than $5,000 for Operation Helping Hand
  • CABA’s Holiday Tree Lighting that brought together local schools, a senior center and the Jimmie B. Keel Public Library
  • Taste of Carrollwood, where more than 80 vendors and 30 CABA member restaurants served more than 5,000 Tampa residents
