Learn more about the organization during its two-day membership drive.

It's got more than 400 members representing 300 businesses. And leaders say they want more.
To make that happen, the Carrollwood Area Business Association is hosting the largest membership drive it's conducted in its 26-year history.
The 2-day pirate-themed membership drive titled, "We Arrgh Building Our Membership," will be held on Nov. 14-15.

"We are hosting a big membership drive now to increase the number of businesses that our members have the opportunity to create relationships with, which creates more opportunities for referrals and increasing revenue," said Maria Patterson, CABA's executive director. "We know times are still tough for a lot of people and we offer the tools and platforms to help create those relationships and also bring more exposure to their business."
The drive will be held at Carrollwood's Ocean Blue Sushi Bar, 13031 N. Dale Mabry Highway.

CABA members will be onsite Nov. 14-15 to talk about the organization to anyone that stops in the restaurant.
During those days, CABA members will also be out in the community talking to businesses about the benefits of joining. Those interested in the organization can also make a special request for a CABA member to visit them during the two-day period.
"We promote doing business locally every chance we get," Patterson said. "So being a part of a local 26-year-old business professional association is beneficial to a business’ marketing plan."
