Cigar City Brewing To Open Pub In Northdale
The popular Tampa brewing company is opening a new pub in the old T.G.I. Friday's location.
If you're a fan of uber local Cigar City Brews like the Maduro Brown and the Jai Ali IPA, you'll soon get to enjoy them close to home and with some good eats.
Tampa's Cigar City Brewery announced last week that they would be opening a new restaurant-style pub at a location in Northdale. The pub will be located at the former T.G.I. Friday's site, 15491 N Dale Mabry Highway, which has been closed since late 2011.
"I've always wanted to do food," Cigar City owner Joey Redner told the Tampa Bay Times. "A lot of our beer is very culinary inspired. We're big believers in food and beer pairings."

Cigar City Brewery opened in 2008 on Spruce Street. The location quickly grew a following and owners plan to triple the size of the tasting room and add two dozen taps, according to the Times story.
