TAMPA, FL — A 73-year-old Temple Terrace man was killed during a Friday morning crash on Ehrlich Road. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Edwin M. Lugo-Ramos was riding his bicycle south across Ehrlich Road just before noon on April 28. Lugo-Ramos was in the crosswalk at Gunn Highway, deputies say, as Briana M. Zolak-Lindsay, 37, was heading west on Ehrlich at 45 mph. "Ms. Zolak-Linsday failed to stop at the red traffic signal and entered the intersection, striking Mr. Lugo-Ramos with the front of her vehicle," an email from the sheriff's office said. Lugo-Ramos was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending its outcome, the sheriff's office said. Image via Shutterstock
