Public Meeting to Discuss Trail Crossing at Ballyhoo Grill
The county meeting will be held on May 30
This just in from Hillsborough County officials:
Hillsborough County will conduct a meeting to receive public comment on a proposal to allow Ballyhoo Grill, located at Ehrlich Road and Gunn Highway, to use a limited crossing of the Upper Tampa Bay Trail to connect the restaurant parking lots, and to use of a portion of the trail right-of-way primarily for parking.
The proposed agreement would allow citizens to use restaurant parking areas during daylight hours to access the trail.

County spokesman Steve Valdez said Ballyhoo has "bi-sected parking," but says the proposal could be a "win-win" for everyone involved.
"This was the result of a request from the owners of Ballyhoo," said Valdez. "What they proposed was a trail crossing after dusk each day to allow for their patrons to park."
