Sheriff to Make Major Announcement in Avila Homicide Case
Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee plans to address the media at 10:30 p.m., to release details in the death of Dr. Hector Rivera and his wife, Debbie.
In an email to the media, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that Sheriff David Gee "will be making a major announcement" at 10:30 p.m. at the Criminal
Investigation Division on Falkenburg Road in Brandon. The announcement will be a "development in the double homicide in Avila," according to the email.
The sheriff’s office in the subdivision just before 8 p.m. on Jan. 9. When a deputy responded, he found the bodies of Dr. Hector Rivera and his wife, Debbie, in their home at 814 Taray DeAvila.
Hector Rivera was found in the front yard, Hillsborough County Sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said at an 11:30 a.m. press conference Tuesday. Debbie Rivera was found inside the home in a bathroom, Carter said.
