Spoken Word Event Raises Funds For Good Cause

The event titled "Life Amplified All-Ages Spoken Word Community Showcase" was held on Saturday January 19 at Carrollwood's Tampa Pitcher Show.

The event drew 50 people and raised money for Redefining Refuge, a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting human trafficking.

"I am grateful to the community for coming and showing their support for such an important and worthy cause," said Deb Kelley, who organized the event. "I thank Tampa Pitcher Show, McMcNabb Photography, The WriteOne Creative Services, and Minuteman Press for being our sponsors. I deeply appreciate our incredible talent for sharing their time and their voice. Many were first timers  and I hope this has ignited a continued passion for performing."
