5 FL Beaches Have Among The Bluest Water In The U.S, Report Finds

From Las Olas to Clearwater, Florida beaches are home to some of the bluest water in the country, according to a new report.

FLORIDA — Five Florida beaches have among the bluest water in the nation, with Las Olas Beach in Fort Lauderdale coming in at No. 3 nationally, according to a recent report.

That's based on a color analysis of 53 U.S. waterways conducted by SIXT. The car rental company matched each beach's water to the closest color Hex code, a series of numbers and letters used to produce specific colors digitally, according to a release from the company.

The nation's bluest water is at the aptly-named Blue Hole, a lake and popular tourist destination in New Mexico. Alaska's Chena Hot Springs comes in at No. 2, SIXT found.
