Canadian Budget Airline Swoop Adds Clearwater To Destinations
The airline will offer non-stop service to and from Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, starting in November with tickets as low as $116.

CLEARWATER, FLA – A Canadian ultra-low-cost airline has added the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater area to its U.S. destinations and will begin offering flights to and from the region beginning in November, the airline announced on Tuesday.
The new destinations, which were added along with Orlando and San Diego, were announced Swoop is preparing to celebrate its third anniversary on June 20. Since introducing their ultra-low-fare program, Swoop has served more than $3 million travelers, the airline said in a news release.
Non-stop flights into Tampa-St. Pete-Clearwater will be offered from Toronto on Nov. 5 and from Hamilton, Ontario, on Nov. 9. A recent fare check for November showed that a traveler can fly between St. Pete-Clearwater to Toronto for $116 and to Hamilton as low as $117.

There is still a travel ban that prohibits travel between the U.S. and Canada due to the coronavirus pandemic, but media reports have indicated that those restrictions will soon be lifted.

Being one of only a few of Swoop’s U.S. destinations, we are confident that sunny St. Pete-Clearwater area will be a popular one.”

The non-stop flight into the airport will be offered twice a week out of Hamilton on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the airline said and out of Toronto on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
