City Of Clearwater Has Spooky Surprises In Store For All Ages
The city of Clearwater is gearing up for the Halloween season with a variety of events taking place in parks, libraries and rec centers.

CLEARWATER, FL — The city of Clearwater is gearing up for a spooktacular Halloween season with a variety of events taking place in parks, libraries and recreation centers throughout the city.
Here's a lineup of the festivities:
- Join local artist Jill Jackson and create fun and spooky Halloween crafts on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Drive. - STEAM Scene, held every month at North Greenwood Library, 905 N Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., will feature a special October program experimenting with Halloween candy Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Call 727-562-4970. - Spooky Scenes on the Green will be featured in Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., on Friday, Oct. 27. There will be a Classic Car Trunk-or-Treat and a showing of the movie "Hocus Pocus 2" under the stars at 6 p.m.
- Bring your pup to the Morningside Recreation Center, 2400 Harn Blvd., Saturday, Oct. 28 for a splashing good time. Dog costumes are encouraged. The $7 donation per dog goes to the Humane Society of Pinellas. For more details and to reserve a time, call 727-562-4280.
- There will be an educational presentation by the Tampa Bay Bats on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Drive. - The Girl Gang HalloQueen Women's MarketShop for spooky finds and fall-themed merchandise will feature 100 women-owned businesses in the 600 block of Cleveland Street on Saturday, Oct. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. There will be a costume contest and kids can trick-or-treat at each booth.
- North Greenwood Community will host a free Fall Family Fun Night Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. with food, games, bounce houses and slides, a rock wall, face painters, live entertainment, celebrity family feud and more at Buccaneer Field, 905 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
- There will be a free Halloween Dance Party with Mr. Brad for babies, toddlers and preschoolers Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Drive. Costumes are encouraged. For more details, call 727-562-4970.
- Local businesses and vendors will be passing out candy to children on the BayCare Ballpark concourse at BayCare Ballpark, 601 N. Old Coachman Road, as families walk from table to table during Boo Bash on Monday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will also be hay rides, games, an on-field costume parade during this free event. The playground, concessions and facilities will be open as well.
