Clearwater Among 50 Best Coastal Beach Towns In America

CLEARWATER, FL — Already rated one of the top beach destinations in the country, Clearwater has now earned the honor of being among the best coastal towns in America.

Big 7 Travel ranked Clearwater 30 on its list of the 50 Best Coastal Towns in the United States.

The online site, which provides recommendations on travel destinations, described Clearwater as "paradise" for travelers.

"This super fun seaside gem is famous for its live music events, lively boardwalk and plethora of outdoor activities for all ages," Big 7 Travel said. "The beaches are among the best in the Sunshine State with miles and miles of sugar white sand, peaceful Gulf breezes and tranquil, clear water."

In 2018 and 2019, TripAdvisor named Clearwater Beach the nation's No. 1 beach twice and among the top 25 beaches in the world.

In 2020, Clearwater Beach was beat out for the honor by nearby St. Pete Beach. Clearwater Beach was 18th on the list of TripAdvisor's 25 best beaches in America; Madeira Beach came in at No. 9; and Treasure Island Beach earned 16th place.
