Clearwater Jazz Holiday Makes Its Sound Amphitheater Debut

The 44th annual jazz festival will take place at the newly constructed amphitheater in Coachman Park Oct. 19 to 22.

CLEARWATER, FL — More than 32,000 music lovers are expected to make their way to Clearwater Thursday through Sunday for the inaugural Clearwater Jazz Holiday at the newly constructed The Sound amphitheater at Coachman Park.

The 44th annual four-day event starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday, with performances by nationally known as well as locally loved jazz musicians as well as musicians of other genres.

And one lucky music lover will win a Ron Jon Surfboard autographed by The Beach Boys who are headlining the festival in a sold-out concert on Thursday night.

In addition to The Beach Boys, the festival will feature Gladys Knight and Average White Band on Oct. 20 and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band on Oct. 22.

The festival is estimated to have a total economic impact on Pinellas County of more than $3 million and generate more than $200,000 in local taxes.

The nonprofit Clearwater Jazz Holiday music festival and its annual activities and initiatives support the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation Inc.'s mission to be a leading proponent of jazz entertainment, providing world-class, live music, promote tourism in Pinellas County and provide educational opportunities for young musicians.
