Clearwater Jolley Trolley Now Offering Not-So-Jolley Haunted Tours
This spooky season, the Jolley Trolley is also scaring up some Halloween fun, launching Haunted Clearwater Tours.
CLEARWATER, FL — Most locals and visitors are familiar with the Clearwater Jolley Trolley as a well-known way to get around Clearwater Beach and into north Pinellas County without fighting traffic.
However, this spooky season, the Jolley Trolley is also scaring up some Halloween fun, launching a not-so-Jolley tour.
Haunted Clearwater Trolley Ghost Tours features two distinct routes — Maisie’s South Route and Andrew’s North Route. Each distinct 75-minute tour visits the area’s most notoriously spooky and ghostly locations.

The trolley picks up guests in a distinctly different-looking and sound-enhanced trolley from either the Visitor Center at Pier 60 at Clearwater Beach or the Clearwater Historical Society and takes them to locations known for their storied pasts.
Some of the scariest stops include the Old Biltmore Hotel, the Fenway Hotel, The Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, historic St. Andrews Chapel and both Clearwater and Dunedin Cemeteries.

The Jolley Trolley partnered with the Clearwater Historical Society and the Dunedin History Center and Museum to resurrect stories from the area’s past and worked with local ghost hunters and enthusiasts to create the tour.
Local Author Joshua Ginsberg, who has written four books about the area, including "Secret Tampa Bay," authored the stories.
Haunted Clearwater is also donating a portion of this tour’s ticket sales to erecting and maintaining a headstone for Gertrude Warnick, whose heroic story will be told on board, as well as to the restoration of the organ at Pease Memorial Presbyterian Church, which will be heard throughout the tour.
Haunted Clearwater is the first of several showcase tours Jolley Trolley will launch in the upcoming months.
“This is an exciting new addition to Jolley Trolley’s offerings after serving the community for 40 years and is one of several trolley tours under development that will be launched before year’s end,” said Mike Helmstetter, CEO of Clearwater Jolley Trolley. “The Haunted Clearwater Ghost Tour showcases the depth of our fascinating and mystorical history hidden within our community.”
The cost of the ghost tour is $29.99. To learn more about the nightly tours, click here.
