ESPN's 2022 Women's College World Series Begins In Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL — The road to the 2022 Women's College World Series starts in Clearwater with the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational presented by Wilson, ESPN's owned and operated college softball tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Eddie C. Moore Complex, 3050 Drew St. in Clearwater, through Feb. 20. All 40 games will be broadcast across ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, Longhorn Network and ESPN+.

"We are excited to host college and All-American athletes, Olympians and NCAA champions at our award-winning softball facility," said Special Events and Athletic Senior Manager Kris Koch. "Sports tourism is key to our area thriving. We wish each team the best of luck.

"There are 16 teams participating in the invitational, and all 16 teams will be showcased at least once. The teams participating include Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Louisiana State, Michigan, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, UCLA, Washington and Wisconsin universities.

Volunteers are needed to verify wristbands, help in the VIP hospitality areas and pass out food to other volunteers. Volunteers receive free admission to the event after their volunteer shift is over, a meal or snacks and a volunteer T-shirt.

While tournament tickets for the event are sold out, there are a limited number of day-of tickets available for Fields 1 and 3 for purchase on-site.

Parking for the tournament will only be available at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex, 2450 Drew St., Clearwater. A shuttle will run between the competition fields and the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex parking lot daily.
