Andy Karpinski, an automotive and aerospace engineer and inventor, reduced his electric bill to less than $20 a month after 30 years of study and experimentation.

He will talk about how to dramatically reduce electric use at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Moccasin Lake Nature Center.

Many of the techniques he uses can easily be duplicated by a homeowner and often involve slightly different ways of doing everyday things. His focus will be on making inexpensive changes with little or no construction skills.
