Fire at Nokomis Street House— Again
The 1920s-era Clearwater house that was gutted in a Thursday night blaze was on fire again early Saturday morning. The cause is under investigation.
For the second time in two days, Clearwater firefighters battled a fire at a 1920s-era Nokomis Street house.
Several 911 calls came in around 3:48 a.m. Saturday about a fire on the roof of the home at 1051 Nokomis St.
Clearwater Fire and Rescue already extinguished a fire at the same house Thursday night. That blaze, believed to be an electrical fire, caused about $100,000 of damage, and officials called the home "a total loss." Two people escaped injuries.
