CLEARWATER, FL — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that grill and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Clearwater for 2023.

Patch gathered all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Clearwater.

Clearwater Celebrates America

Clearwater Celebrates America is happening at The Sound, the new music venue at Coachman Park, which officially opens this week.

The celebration will take place Tuesday, July 4, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and feature a classic car show with vintage cars and trucks, a farmers market, family-friendly games and street entertainment.

Daily recurring events will include health and fitness classes, food and beverage experiences, exhibitors, children’s games, as well as park amenities such as a splash pad, large playground and walking trails.

The grand finale for Clearwater Celebrates America will be the largest fireworks display in Clearwater's history, accompanied by The Florida Orchestra, at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are required for the free concert.

General admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Venue seating is limited so attendees should bring a blanket for the lawn.

Following the fireworks, stick around for an immersive silent disco party to keep the celebration going.

Schedule:

  • 8 a.m.: Fitness class on the Baywalk Promenade
  • 8:30 a.m.: Classic Car Show
  • 10 a.m.: Outdoor vendor market, DJ Brooke Santana, children’s activities
  • 11 a.m. Food trucks open, World Stage Dancers
  • Noon: Photo booth, Cosmic Riot Entertainment
  • 1 p.m.: Warren Garrett and Nicktorious the Escape Artist
  • 2:30 p.m.: Aubrey Wollett
  • 3 p.m.: Cosmic Riot Entertainment
  • 4 p.m.: Good Peebles, Nicktorious the Escape Artist
  • 5:30 p.m.: Coast Guard demonstration
  • 7 p.m. The Florida Orchestra
  • 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
  • Post-fireworks: Silent disco party

For the grand opening, the city and the Clearwater Ferry are offering discounted fares. The schedule varies due to start and end times of events.

Departure times are not a guaranteed if there are no reservations or if the time is sold out. The ferry may leave prior to a scheduled departure time if all reservations have checked in. Any walk-ups that are able to board must book a return trip to guarantee the desired departure time. The ferry may shut down early or not operate if there are no scheduled departures. Reservations may be made up to several days in advance.

The cost of Clearwater routes is $3 each way.

The cost of Dunedin routes is $5 each way.

Clearwater Threshers Fireworks Show

The Clearwater Threshers will play the Palm Beach Cardinals on Tuesday, July 4, at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Clearwater Threshers Fireworks Show at BayCare Ballpark, 601 N. Old Coachman Road, Clearwater, presented by Budweiser.

There will be another fireworks show on July 8 after the game against the Palm Beach Cardinals.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. games with the Palm Beach Cardinals.

Those age 21 and up can specials on Budweiser products both nights throughout the ballpark.

The BayCare Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and before and during games, or purchase tickets online.
