TAMPA, FL - If you're hosting a house full of relatives on Thanksgiving, but want to forego the hours of prep work and massive pile of dishes and leftovers after the meal — Patch can help.
Many restaurants in the Tampa Bay area will be open if you want to eat out on Thanksgiving. But you better hurry in making your reservations because tables are filling up.
OpenTable website showed 32 restaurants with openings in the Tampa area on Thanksgiving Day. The website showed 11 with openings in the St. Petersburg area.

In a search of openings for two people dining Thursday, Nov. 23, here are some examples of availability in the Tampa area:

On Saturday, Fleming’s Steakhouse showed only one time slot available at 6:15 p.m. and Seasons 52 listed two time slots open at 7:30 and 7:45 p.m.. Seasons 52 had been booked 69 times as of Saturday afternoon. Eddie V's of Tampa had one time slot at 8:30 p.m. The Capital Grille had one time slot left at 8:30 p.m.
In the St. Petersburg area, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse had two time slots left at 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The Sea Porch restaurant at the Don CeSar showed only two time slots left at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
In the Sarasota/Bradenton area, OpenTable showed 16 restaurants with openings on Thanksgiving. The Columbia Restaurant had one opening at 8 p.m. and The Capital Grille showed one opening at 8:30 p.m. Duval's Fresh. Local. Seafood. also had only one opening left at 3:30 p.m.
In the Clearwater area, nine restaurants still had openings on Thanksgiving. SHOR American Seafood Grill had three time slots left at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. In Dunedin, Bon Appetit had two time slots left at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
