Man In Critical Condition After Being Beaten On Clearwater Beach
Police have arrested a Clearwater man and charged him with attempted murder in the beating Sunday.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater police detectives have charged a 30-year-old Clearwater man with attempted murder after an early-morning incident on Clearwater Beach Sunday.
According to police, Herbert McClellan was arrested early Sunday after being accused of beating a 43-year-old man on the beach in the 600 block of South Gulfview Boulevard.
Police said McClellan punched, kicked and stomped on the victim for more than three minutes. The victim was flown to Bayfront Health St.Petersburg and is in critical condition.

McClellan, who has been arrested nearly two dozen times in Pinellas County, also was charged with strong-arm robbery and violation of probation. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
