National Tournament Won By Clearwater Bullets Fastpitch Softball Team
The Clearwater Bullets secured the official 14A Championship title in the USSSSA Fastpitch Central Florida State Championship.
CLEARWATER, FL — Christmas came early for the Clearwater Bullets fastpitch softball team when they won the national 14A championship title in the USSSSA Fastpitch Central Florida State Championship.
On Dec. 2 and 3, 135 teams in the under-10 to under-18 age divisions from across the nation arrived at six complexes in the Orlando/Kissimmee area to compete.
“Seeing these athletes happy and smiling all weekend was very rewarding," said USSSA Tournament Director Tonya Waters. "I’m honored to be a part of their journey making memories."

With the holidays around the corner, participants were encouraged to wear their best reindeer attire to bring some fun to the competition.
“The championship game was like no other. Every inning was very intense, and it had everyone on the edge of their seats," said Waters. "Time had expired and the score was still 0-0. After an ITB, the Clearwater Bullets defeated a very strong Tampa Mustangs Weston team 2-1. The Clearwater Bullets went 2-1 in pool play before securing a 4-0 record in bracket play and has won 3 USSSA "A" state championships in a row."
