PALM HARBOR, FL — A new Trader Joe’s in northern Pinellas County has set its opening date, the company said in a news release.

The longawaited Palm Harbor grocery store, which is located at 33597 U.S. Highway 19 N., will open its doors to the public Thursday morning.

The national grocery chain is known for selling “the best quality products at the best everyday prices,” as well as unique foods and beverages, the company said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place just before its 9 a.m. opening, the company said.
Store captain Scott Merino and Trade Joe’s crew members will be on hand to welcome customers.

The store will hire more than 65 crew members. Job openings can be found online at www.traderjoes.com/careers.

The store will open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the Palm Harbor Trader Joe’s will donate all products that are unsold “but remain fit to enjoy to a range of nonprofit, community-based organizations, seven days a week,” the company said.

Trader Joe’s launched in 1967 in the Los Angeles area and has since expanded to more than 575 stores in 42 states and Washington, D.C.
