The Pinellas County-based nonprofit launched during the pandemic assists families that are starting over.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — The Pineapple Projects is celebrating the completion of its 50th furnished home for a Pinellas County family needing help getting back on their feet.

The entirely volunteer-run nonprofit organization is dedicated to furnishing homes and creating living environments for families who have experienced hardships.

The impact of their work extends beyond material possessions, said Ashley Cornetet, founder and executive director of The Pineapple Projects. By helping families furnish their homes, the organization restores dignity, instills a sense of pride and promotes stability.

The Pineapple Projects runs solely on donations from the community and local businesses, putting every dollar into the mission.

Through collaborations with local social service agencies and community partners, The Pineapple Projects identifies families in need and ensures their homes are furnished with care and attention to detail.

Volunteers play a vital role in this process, donating their time and energy to assist with furniture delivery, assembly and arrangement.

“I’m so grateful for the unwavering support and generous donations we’ve received from the community, which makes all of this possible,” said Cornetet. “We’re always looking for more partners to help us continue this work and help as many families as we can.”
