Naked Man With Shotgun Killed by Deputies
Deputies were responding to a domestic complaint when they were confronted by a 60-year-old Clearwater man who was naked and pointing a shotgun at them.

A Clearwater man who allegedly answered his front door wearing no clothes and pointing a shotgun at two Pinellas County deputies was shot and killed Sunday afternoon by the officers.
A news release stated that the deputies, fearing for their safety, opened fire and killed 60-year-old Danny Meredith at a residence on Bugle Lane in unincorporated Clearwater.
Deputies Robert Brown Jr. and Adam Przybysz responded to a call about a domestic dispute on the 1800 block of Bugle Lane, when they were confronted by Meredith, who opened the front door and pointed a shotgun at them.

According to officials, Donna Meredith, the suspect's wife, made the call to police at about 3:15 p.m. after she came home and found a note on the front door that warned anyone who entered the home would be shot and killed.
Donna Meredith, 56, told authorities that she left the house earlier in the day to allow the situation at home to calm down after a dispute with her husband.

When she returned home and read the note, she said that she was aware that there were weapons inside the house, so she contacted the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies Brown and Przybysz were not injured in the confrontation.
According to the news release, both will be placed on routine administrative leave pending an internal review.
