The open house will provide students with information about the YAC and ways they can participate in local government. Refreshments will be served during the event.
Established in 2001, the YAC was developed as a way for students to provide input and assistance to the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners. Members of the committee assist the commission by helping to identify the needs of young people in Pinellas County. They also become active participants with their adult counterparts in county programs.
