President Of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Tourism Bureau Resigns
The county will be conducting a search for a new senior executive to fill the vacancy left by Hayes.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — On Tuesday, Pinellas County announced the departure of Steve Hayes, who led Visit St. Pete/Clearwater as president/CEO for the past four years.
"Pinellas County and the VSPC team remain fully committed to supporting the hospitality and tourism industries, and the communities and companies that make up our destination," said County Administrator Barry Burton. "We are grateful to Steve for his years of service to Pinellas County and wish him success in his future endeavors."
The county will be conducting a search for a new senior executive to fill the vacancy left by Hayes. In the meantime, the responsibilities of president/CEO will be assumed by Brian Lowack, special assistant to the county administrator, on an interim basis.
