Regattas From Around World Will Hoist Their Sails In Clearwater Beach
The Red Gear Championships will take place Oct. 8-10 and the 2022 Immunolin F18 World Championship will take place Oct. 12-16.

CLEARWATER, FL — There's smooth sailing ahead for Clearwater as the city that's become world-famous for its sugar-sand beaches and clear blue waters attracts another national event, featuring sailing teams from around the world.
The Red Gear Championships, including the 2022 F16 Nationals, the 2022 N15 Nationals and the 2022 F18 Worlds Warmup Regatta, will take place Oct. 8 to 10.
And the 2022 Immunolin F18 World Championship will take place the following week from Oct. 12 to 16.

The prestigious events are being held in Clearwater Beach for the first time, and residents are invited to come out and witness the races, see the boats and meet the teams on the beach.
“We’re excited to see a prestigious event like this come to Clearwater Beach,” said Visit St. Pete/Clearwater President and CEO Steve Hayes.

Racing will take place between noon and 4:30 p.m. The public can meet the teams on the beach between 10 a.m. and noon and 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Access to social events and receptions will be available with a $225 social pass .
They include:
- The Worlds opening ceremony and reception Oct. 11.
- The manufacturers' reception and welcome reception for the teams is Oct. 12 (with an addition ticket for $46.)
- A dinner cruise on the Starlight for skippers and crews will take place Oct. 13 for an additional $68.
- Pizza on the beach will take place Oct. 15 for an additional $25.
- And an awards dinner for the skippers and crews at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort will take place Oct. 16 for an additional $76.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the My Sail Youth Foundation.
