Sidewalks, Portion Of Trail To Close In Clearwater Starting Tuesday
Portions of pedestrian walkways along Clearwater Beach and Beach Walk that surround a new hotel under construction will close.

CLEARWATER, FL — Starting Sept. 6, portions of pedestrian walkways along Clearwater Beach and Beach Walk that surround a new hotel under construction at 400 Coronado Drive will be close. In addition, 5th Street will close to vehicular traffic.
For safety purposes, pedestrian areas will be pushed away from the construction zone to maintain a pedestrian walkway of 10 feet through Jan. 31. People will still be able to access Clearwater Beach via 5th Street between south Gulfview Boulevard and Coronado Drive. Along Coronado Drive just south of 5th Street, pedestrians will be detoured to the east side of the roadway.
Additionally, a portion of the Ream Wilson Trail will be closed between the exit ramp of McMullen Booth Road overpass and Wolfe Drive from Sept. 6 through Oct. 14.

The project includes the construction of a new off-ramp, landscaping and working on stormwater improvements to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety.
During this closure, a detour route will be provided.
