SPC Offering High-Tech Robotics Camp
Participants will design a robotic car and visit a manufacturing facility.

CLEARWATER, FL – The Clearwater campus of St. Petersburg College will host two sessions of its High-Tech Robotics Summer Camp this year.
During the sessions, students will use SolidWorks design software and CAD to design a functional robotic car. It is recommended that students have good computer skills to navigate the software.

- Engage in the 3D printing process using additive manufacturing techniques
- Learn to program an Arduino microprocessor to operate servo motors
- Understand the electronics and precision needed for building robots
- Learn entrepreneurial skills used by successful business owners
The camp culminates with a field trip to tour an Advanced Manufacturing Facility.
The Middle School Camp for students age 12 to 15 is June 20-24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The High School Camp for ages 14 to 19 is July 11-15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both events take place at the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus, 2465 Drew St.

The week-long summer camp costs $200, which includes a T-shirt and the trip to the manufacturing facility. Online registration is available at www.spcollege.edu/robitics-camp.
