FLORIDA — Comedians and actors Steve Martin and Martin Short canceled two upcoming Florida tour dates because of the fast-moving wildfires that continue to burn in California.

Fueled by dry, gusty winds, the fires have killed five people and forced at least 70,000 evacuations across Los Angeles County, with a new blaze erupting overnight in the Hollywood Hills, Patch reported.

“Everyone is alive, but there is devastation,” Martin wrote in an Instagram post announcing the show cancellations.
