Suspect Stabbed 3 Officers During Domestic Battery Arrest: Police
The man had concealed a small knife and began stabbing and cutting the Clearwater officers during his arrest.
CLEARWATER, FL - A man armed with a small knife stabbed and cut three police officers as he was being arrested for domestic battery, according to a police report.
The man was identified as Justin Shuford, 36, and he was charged with attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and domestic battery, police said.
Police officers responded Saturday night to a call for a male beating a female at the marina parking lot, 37 Causeway Blvd. Officers found that the suspect was being aggressive toward citizens that came to the aid of the female, the police report said.

When three officers attempted to arrest the man, he pulled out a small knife and resisted arrest, stabbing and cutting the officers before being handcuffed. Each sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital and released.
