'Travel Detective' Films in Clearwater, St. Pete
Peter Greenberg is filming a travel/news reality show for PBS and is making stops in Clearwater and St. Pete.

"The Travel Detective" – Peter S. Greenberg – is in Clearwater and St. Petersburg this weekend to film his new TV travel news/reality show, which debuts on PBS in October.
Greenberg refers to himself as the Travel Detective, reporting on "news that you can use" about the travel industry. He is Travel Editor for CBS News and wrote "Don’t Go There! The Travel Detective’s Essential Guide to the Must-Miss Places of the World."
You can find a lot of his writing in posts to his Facebook page, where is background photo has a familiar Florida beach scene. Greenberg says that he offers candid advice and tips on travel, instead of the usual promotional pitches.
Greenberg and his TV crew were in St. Pete and Clearwater filming for the seven-minute "Hidden Gems" segment of his new series, according to Creative Loafing.
According to Creative Loafing: The "Travel Detective" told reporters at the press conference that he prides himself on being the only high-profile journalist who isn't selling something. Much to the chagrin of tourism boards, he'll tell people where not to go and which places to avoid, that will be a waste of money and time.
