These dramatic images were taken by people who saw water spouts form in Tampa Bay as a tornado advisory was issued for parts of the region.
Here is a series of images and videos that people posted Wednesday afternoon as water spouts formed off the Tampa Bay coastline.
If water spouts move toward the shoreline, they turn into tornadoes. It is best to seek shelter.
These water spouts were at enough distance that motorists stopped to take video using their cell phones.
