Water Main Break Backs Up Traffic In Clearwater: Officials

CLEARWATER, FL — A water main break is affecting traffic at a busy Clearwater intersection on Thursday afternoon, city officials wrote in a Facebook post.

Public Utilities crews are working at the site of an 8-inch water main break at Sunset Point Road and Belcher Road.

Workers are assessing what repairs are needed and it’s unknown how long traffic will be affected in the area.

A boil water notice will likely be issued, city officials said.

Fifteen residents and businesses are impacted by the break.
