Teen charged as an adult in Cocoa murder and attempted robbery (wftv.com) — A 13-year-old is being charged as an adult after a man was fatally shot during an alleged robbery attempt in Cocoa last month. Police say the shooting happened at a vacant house on Bristol Drive after a meetup arranged through a social media app. The teen suspect is being held at the Brevard County Jail while the case moves forward.
   

2. Street Closures Announced for Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade This Saturday (spacecoastdaily.com) — Expect significant street closures in Cocoa and Rockledge on Saturday, December 13, from about 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the annual Cocoa/Rockledge Holiday Parade. Key Cocoa streets like Brevard, Maryland, Delannoy, and Harrison will be affected, with traffic detoured as crowds gather for floats, marching groups, and holiday fun.

Historic ornaments more than just memories, gifts (hometownnewsbrevard.com) — Cocoa-area history lovers can now collect a new 2025 ornament honoring Titusville’s LaGrange Church, joining past designs that feature landmarks like Cocoa Village Playhouse and other Brevard icons. Proceeds from these Historic Brevard Christmas Ornaments support Zonta Club of Melbourne’s work empowering women and aiding nonprofits such as Green Gables, and can be purchased locally or online.
   

4. Glimpses of India to Bring Cultural Showcase to Cocoa Village Playhouse Jan. 10 (spacecoastdaily.com) — An Indian cultural showcase, “Glimpses of India,” is coming to the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse on January 10, 2026, offering Cocoa residents an evening of dance, music, and storytelling. The fundraiser supports Manav Mandir Temple’s community programs and features everything from classical-inspired choreography to energetic Bollywood numbers.
