Coral Gables Mayor Welcomes Cosentino Group To City
The relocation brings more than 177 jobs to the area and an investment of more than $11.5 million.

CORAL GABLES, FL — Mayor James Cason of Coral Gables will be on hand Thursday night to welcome the new Americas headquarters of Cosentino Group to his city. The global, family-owned company produces and distributes natural stone, quartz, recycled and architectural surfaces. Cosentino distributes its products and brands in more than 80 countries from its headquarters in Almeria, Spain.
Company officials said that the multi-billion-dollar manufacturer began relocating its corporate operations from Houston to Coral Gables over the summer months as part of a four-year strategic business plan, which outlined expansion, investment and distribution plans.

"By the end of 2017, Cosentino will employ more than 1,118 people across the U.S. and Canada," the company said. "Cosentino will also soon open its Cosentino Miami City Center in the heart of the Design District. One of only 10 in the world, the Miami City Center will serve the region’s architecture and design community and consumers alike."
The Coral Gables location is in a newly renovated 24,000 square-foot space. The grand opening was to include remarks from Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
