• Crestview City Councilor Ryan Bullard resigns; City seeks candidates for vacant seat (weartv.com) — Crestview City Councilor Ryan Bullard will resign effective December 31, and the city is now accepting applications to fill his Precinct 2 – South Crestview seat through November 2026. Applicants must be adult U.S. citizens, Crestview residents of that precinct, and registered Okaloosa County voters. Interested residents have until January 2, 2026, at 5 p.m. to apply online.
   

• Crestview teen honored with statewide award for her environmental efforts (wuwf.org) — A 17-year-old Crestview resident has been named Florida’s 2025 Keep Florida Beautiful Youth Champion of the Year for leading cleanups and anti-litter campaigns around town. She launched the Litter Locators Instagram project, cleaned several local pollution hotspots, and now partners with Keep Okaloosa Beautiful. She’s planning more Crestview-focused cleanup events in the new year and hopes to rally record-breaking community participation.
