• House panel backs insurance restriction: People, not AI, would have ultimate say on claims (orlandosentinel.com) — Dania Beach’s state Rep. Hillary Cassel is pushing a bill to ensure only humans, not AI alone, can deny or cut Floridians’ insurance claims. The proposal, advanced unanimously by a House panel, would still allow AI tools but require human oversight and clearer disclosure to regulators, drawing support from hospitals and doctors and opposition from major insurers.
