• Father detained in Davie traffic stop being held at Colorado detention facility: Family (nbcmiami.com) — A worker headed to a landscaping job in Davie was detained during a traffic stop last week and is now being held in an immigration detention facility in Colorado, his family says. His children say they went five days without knowing his whereabouts before finally hearing from him Sunday night, while his immigration case and transfer remain under federal review. 
• ‘Creeped out' or crime solvers? License plate readers in South Florida a controversial tool (sun-sentinel.com) — Davie Police are among several South Florida agencies now using Flock license plate reader cameras that log detailed vehicle data and can be shared across jurisdictions. Supporters say the system helps solve crimes with fewer officers, while critics warn it amounts to quiet mass surveillance and could be tapped for immigration enforcement despite new safeguards.

I wanted to share a great new local find with everyone. Pinsa 104 is a fairly new, authentic Italian restaurant on University Drive next to Menchie’s… (Nextdoor Country Creek) - Two French bulldogs found roaming around the neighborhood.
I caught them and have them in my backyard. They have water and shade but I can’t let them inside as my dog isn’t super friendly. Please message me… (Nextdoor Harmony Estates)
