• You Are Going To Smell Smoke On Friday, Here's Why (bocanewsnow.com) — On Friday, a controlled burn at the Military Trail Natural Area in Deerfield Beach may cause noticeable smoke across North Broward and South Palm Beach counties. The two-acre prescribed fire, run by Broward County Parks with the Florida Forest Service, will close the natural area all day and could be rescheduled if weather conditions aren’t right.
   

• Antibody therapy shows promise against multiple myeloma (futurity.org) — Deerfield Beach residents are part of a promising University of Miami clinical trial testing the antibody linvoseltamab at Sylvester’s local satellite site. Early results show all 18 patients who finished treatment had no detectable multiple myeloma, hinting this therapy might one day reduce the need for harsh bone marrow transplants and offer longer-lasting control of the disease.
