• MAS Development advancing townhome community near DeLand SunRail station (growthspotter.com) — DeLand’s City Commission has unanimously approved a 152‑unit townhome community on Ridgewood Avenue, about a mile and a half from the SunRail station, bringing higher-density housing to the city’s transit corridor. The MAS Development project will feature front- and rear-loaded townhomes, two-car garages, and amenities like a nature trail, dog park, and preserved oak grove, with full approvals expected by late 2026.
   

• Final Super 16 Coaches Football Poll: Lake Mary Miracle puts Rams No. 1 (orlandosentinel.com) — DeLand High’s football team capped a standout 12-1 season by finishing No. 4 in the Orlando Sentinel’s final Super 16 Coaches Poll, with its only loss coming to new state champion Lake Mary in the 7A semifinals.
