4) If you were thinking of running for a , you'll want to know that the city of Dunedin's qualifying period may get bumped up because it is actually after the Supervisor of Elections' Aug. 3 deadline for municipal elections, City Clerk Denise Schlegel told commissioners Thursday. All the commissioners voted on bumping it up only slightly to July 16 through 30, but will discuss it again at the June 21 commission meeting.
5) Commissioners voted last night in favor of amending the city ordinance add a golf cart crossing at Broadway and Monroe Street. The crossing will receive extra signs and special safety striping, officials said. It will allow golf cart drivers access to the Dunedin Municipal Marina, Victoria Drive and Weaver Park from the downtown area.
